Healus Center Expands to Offer Unique Variety of Services

The Healus Center (www.healus.com), located at 150 Nellen Avenue (Lucky Drive and Highway 101) in Corte Madera, CA announces a major expansion of services, completing the vision of Executive Director Jocelyn Olivier to establish a facility to serve the San Francisco Bay Area with a unique approach to muscle, joint and nerve problems. Since 2006 the Healus Center has offered NeuroMuscular Reprogramming (NMR)® therapy, Conscious BodyWork® massage, Gyrotonic® movement reeducation, free lectures and community classes to improve community awareness of the body and brain. To fulfill the Healus vision, it has now added neurofeedback, chiropractic and personal coaching services, along with complementary wellness treatments.

Healus is the new home of Peak Health and Wellness, an integrative health cleansing and body detoxification practice founded by noted Marin physician, nutritionist and author Dr. Elson Haas (Staying Healthy with Nutrition and The Detox Diet) and associate Liz Baughman.

“Being affiliated with Dr. Haas and additional health services providers will greatly expand our ability to help the community in ways that simply weren’t possible before this collaboration,” said Olivier. “To our knowledge, this is the first time a nutritionally-based physician has established a formal program of treatment and services in conjunction with neuromuscular bodyworkers and neurofeedback therapists. With an estimated 1.5 million people in the Bay Area alone in serious need of pain relief and inexpensive ways to improve their wellbeing, this seems like an ideal combination of talents. We’re providing a much needed service not available anywhere else in this region.”

Peak Health and Wellness is a division of Preventive Medical Center of Marin (25 Mitchell Dr., Ste. 8, San Rafael, CA), a 24-year old integrative medical center. At the Healus Center, Peak practitioners offer Individual Detoxification Coaching; Detox Groups; Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching; Individual Nutritional Assessment Programs and a variety of alternative bodywork therapies to complement the unique services offered by Ms. Olivier and the Healus Center staff.

Alive & Well! Institute of Conscious BodyWork

Jocelyn Olivier’s nationally-recognized educational facility, with over 20 years in the Marin community, has taught over 10,000 massage therapists and NeuroMuscular Reprogramming® practitioners.

Olivier moved the school to Corte Madera from its former home in San Anselmo and founded the Healus Center in January 2006, offering NeuroMuscular Reprogramming (NMR), a bodywork modality Olivier developed over 34 years which is extremely successful in resolving hard-to-fix movement and coordination problems involving the communication pathways between the body and the brain.
