Dion Winter is a NeuroMuscular Reprogramming Supervisor at the Healus Neuro Rehab Center, as well as an NMR instructor at the Alive and Well! Institute of Conscious Bodywork. A gifted practitioner and instructor, Dion assists people in transforming their bodies to the states of wellbeing they knew years before pain, limitation, and dysfunction set in. Dion combines the corrective protocols of NMR with Craniosacral Release, Brain Function Facilitation, Integrative Energy Work, Deep Tissue massage, and Myofascial release to restore balance and integrity to bodies compromised by unaddressed traumas.
“So many of us walk through life accumulating limitations – the cumulative result of old sports injuries, car accidents, impacts to the spine, concussions, overuse injuries, and any other trauma that has conspired to create compensations in the use patterns of the body. If left untreated, these can unravel the body’s natural neurological calibration, resulting in loss of sleep, fatigue, headaches, chronic pain, cycles of anxiety and depression, digestive issues, and other symptoms of multi-system breakdown. I help clients restore the natural rhythms of their breath, brain function, gait, and movement patterns to rehabilitate bodies that are in pain, and restore normal pain-free functionality. I believe everyone can learn how to approach a pain-free life in their physical bodies, given the right rehabilitation, tools, and guidance to take their healing into their own hands.”
Dion has a B.A. in Science Education and Independent Studies from Hampshire College, and was also a recipient of the Hampshire College Ingenuity Award (2008) and the Harold F. Johnson Scholarship for Academic Achievement for four years. Since 2011, Dion has apprenticed under Jocelyn Olivier at the Healus Center and completed over 1,000 hours of massage and bodywork education at the Alive and Well! Institute of Conscious Bodywork.
